Updated Firmware with aspect ratio controls working
Beta: June 22, 2022 Firmware Includes support for IR remote control, a new 180 degree rotation mode, and an updated Freesync engine. (Freesync is set to always on, when enabling the menu function we loose access to aspect ratio controls so the menu option is just greyed out)
Most features of these firmware files are exclusive to the RTD-2556T model, models that exclude the T at the end do not have the required ram to make these features work.
You will need a flashing device called an RTDTool Sometimes called a Realtek ISP tool. Sourcing this device is a bit grey market, so it may or may not be found on sites like Amazon, eBay, Aliexpress, Bangood and so on. They may be difficult to source or not stocked everywhere.

There are programmers that claim to support the RTD ISP, but I have not tested them, if you are willing to try and ok with the possibility it will not work here is a MStar programmer

Another thing that may work is the open source flashing tools for the RTD2660
that chip is similar so the ISP for it may work with some extra effort, again this is not tested, but if someone is willing to tinker and see if they can make it work it may be worth a shot to get away from the proprietary tools that will disappear as Realtek finds them.
