Dreamcast Noctua Fan Mount Kit includes Dreamcast Noctua fan adapter cable.

Please note: The Noctua fan in bulk packaging is now a separate item to help me keep better control of inventory.

I have finalized a new design for the mount and latch that makes for sturdier and more robust parts. If you have the old version there is no need to get this update, but since it is a stronger part it will be included in all new kits. Due to high demand with the Dreamcast Modding video from RetroRGB (check it out if you haven't seen it yet on YouTube) I have to extend the normal handling time to up to 3 days. I will get all orders out as quickly as possible thank you for your understanding. You must supply your own Noctua NF-A4x10 5V fan, make sure you purchase the 5v version the 12v fan will not spin in the Dreamcast, also make sure you get the 3 pin fan, they have started to sell a 4 pin fan, which is not able to fit in the cable connector I provide.
A full video guide to install the mod was done by Bob of RetroRGB and you can watch it here: https://youtu.be/eOP3ZDUX7Y8?t=963
Please note this kit is not compatible with early revision Dreamcast consoles know as VA0, these systems are fairly rare in all regions except Japan, The easiest way to determine if you have this model is to open the system, if you have a silver or grey fan attached to a metal heatsink it is a VA0.
This kit is designed to mount a high airflow quiet fan in the place of the original stock Dreamcast fan. It is specifically built for the Noctua NF-A4x10 5V fan. This mod shines in systems with GDROM emulators like the USB-GDROM and the GDEMU and MODE. It makes those systems nearly silent. It may not do much to systems with the original disk drive still installed as the disk drive is louder than the cooling fan.
The kit includes:
  • 3d printed fan duct
  • 3d printed replacement door release latch
  • custom built conversion cable that plugs into the original fan connector and converts the signal so that the new fan functions properly (built in 10K resistor)
You will need:
  • A Dreamcast console
  • A Noctua Noctua NF-A4x10 5V (3pin only)
