Use NVME M.2 drives with your MiSTer stack, this 3D printed enclosure fits most standard M.2 NVME drives 2230 2242 2260 and 2280, with a simple tool free mounting mechanism. The built in fan keeps your drive comfortable in the slim enclosure that is easily attached to the bottom of your MiSTer stack with just 4 screws.

This adapter is designed to sit at the bottom of your MiSTer stack, most cases assemble using 4 screws that pass through the DE-10 Nano board, this is designed to sit under one of those cases and screw into the bottom using M3 screws.

It adds a NVME M.2 slot that connects to the system via USB. This is a great chance to reuse an older M.2 drive or pickup a lower cost 1tb or larger drive that is more durable than an SD card. Store your games on the M.2 and use the SD card to keep your cores and easily update in the event of a dead SD card.

When using a USB drive with MiSTer the best use case is to format exFAT and create a folder named games on the root of the drive, then use the same name and case as the core folder to create a corresponding rom folder within the games folder.

SD NES emulator would look like this on the M.2:
\games\NES

Do the same for all systems you wish to keep those ROMs for. MiSTer will automatically pick it up and make it work.
